Huang Yi Studio+ was honored to be invited as the opening performance for Taiwan Expo in Japan 2026.
The opening ceremony took place at 10:00 AM on July 15, 2026, at Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku Hiroba (Triangle Plaza), Tokyo.
During the opening ceremony, James C. F. Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), introduced the opening performance, Ink, a collaboration between Taiwanese choreographer Huang Yi and Japanese audiovisual artist Ryoichi Kurokawa, inspired by the calligraphic works of Taiwanese calligraphy artist Tong Yang-Tze.
This opening performance also featured Techman Robot, a collaborative robot developed by the Quanta Group. Quanta has been a longstanding supporter of Huang Yi’s internationally acclaimed work HUANG YI & KUKA.
